Being a ghost for one night

One of the good things of living in a foreign country is that you worry less about doing the ridiculous. I wanted to celebrate Halloween so I bought some make-up and paint myself. The result wasn't bad if I take into account that I couldn't ask any girl for help or advice. My original idea was to disguise myself as a Kiss singer, nevertheless it chose something easier.
Halloween isn't a traditional German celebration. It became popular after the carnival was put off during Iraq war. It was the first time that German troops were involved in an armed conflict after the World War II. Cleverly the textile industry decided the boast Halloween to recover some of the losses.

The longest night of the museums

It is the same idea as The Longest Night of the Music. It sounds like a great idea but it isn't. To go to a concert is one thing. To visit a museum is another. They are so big that you need a lot of time to see everything and you can't understand history from snapshots.
First I went to the Staatliches Museum which featured an exhibition of the Oktoberfest and What is typical from Munich. Unfortunately it was overcrowded and I couldn't understand a word of what the tourist guide was saying. At the end, I left the group and took a look on my own.
At midnight after playing with some funny mirrors, I was running out of time so I went to the BMW Museum. There I saw one of the fastest cars of the world and a prototype of a automobile with a dynamic chassis.

The Village of Millions

With it parks and quiet streets, it is easy to forget that you are in the third largest german city. Munich is a village and the best way to move around is walking. This time I went from the door of my house to the English Garden, the biggest urban park of the world.

German demonstrations

In Argentina is always better to stay away from demonstrations. They are noisy, unpredictable and full of paid demonstrators. Here they are well organized -we are in Germany-, quite and attract middle class people.
The national government extended recently the period of time the nuclear power plants are allowed to run. In return the major energy corporations accepted a tax to the nuclear fuel which is part of a national saving plan. This demonstration was organized by the two main opposition parties: the Green Party and the Socialist (SPD).
